DEWALT Innovation: New Tools Designed to Change How You Work

Every trade has a moment where a new tool changes the job for good. DEWALT have been hard at work to come up with new power tools, batery platforms and innovations that truly make a difference on-site.

Here's what's new, and why it's worth your attention.

One Drill, Four Jobs: The Multi-Head Drill Driver

The standout release is DEWALT's new Multi-Head Drill Driver, it solves a problem every tradesperson faces on-site – carrying a tool bag full of drills for various jobs.

The DCD803NT-XJ works with four interchangeable heads:

  • Right angle head for tight spaces where a standard drill won't fit

  • Offset head for awkward angles and confined work

  • Traditional chuck for everyday drilling and driving

  • ¼" hex quick-release bit holder for fast bit changes on the move

Instead of switching tools, you simply switch heads on the same drill body in seconds. It's one investment covering the jobs that used to require a full kit. We put it to the test at the DEWALT Training Centre, timing how fast the heads swap over mid-job, and the speed is the whole point: less time changing tools, more time on the tools.

The Most Powerful Combi Drill DEWALT Has Ever Made

For pros who need raw performance, the new DCD1007NT-XJ 18V XR Premium Hammer Drill Driver is DEWALT's flagship, and the numbers back that up. It delivers 169Nm of max. torque, the highest of any combi drill in the DEWALT range, alongside:

  • A higher impact rate for drilling through masonry and concrete

  • Anti-rotation control for safer handling under load

  • A more compact 193 mm body, so it's easier to manage in tight spots despite the added power

It's a tool built for the jobs that ask the most of your kit, without asking more of you to control it.

Copper Work, Reinvented: The DCE154N-XJ Tube Cutter

The DCE154N-XJ 18V XR Copper Tube Cutter is a genuine first for the category. Most copper tube cutters on the market have a fixed head; the DCE154N-XJ has an innovative 90-degree pivoting head, so you can cut in positions that would previously mean repositioning the whole tool, or the pipe.

The auto-adjust mechanism takes pipe from 12 mm to 35 mm without swapping parts, and a dual LED with cut line indicator keeps the cut visible even in poor light. DEWALT is claiming up to 550 cuts on a single 5.0Ah PowerStack battery charge, roughly twice the cutting speed of competitor tools.

For anyone running copper day in, day out, this is the kind of detail that adds up over a week on site.

Bigger Cuts, More Control: The DCS374N-XJ Deep Cut Bandsaw

New for 2026, the DCS374N-XJ 18V XR Deep Cut Bandsaw pushes cutting capacity up to 5" , opening it up to larger applications that smaller bandsaws can't handle. It pairs that extra capacity with:

  • A 5-speed variable dial for finer control across materials

  • A tool-less adjustable handle for better ergonomics through a long cutting session

  • A quick-release blade change lever, so downtime between blades is minimal

It's a tool that scales up without slowing you down.

Built for the Trade: Grabo Suction Lifter and Stapler

Two more additions worth knowing about, both built around a single job done properly:

DEWALT Grabo Suction Lifter (DCE590N-XJ) designed to make lifting heavy slabs and sheet materials genuinely manageable, cutting the manual strain out of one of the most physically demanding parts of the job.

DEWALT Electrician's Stapler (DCN701N-XJ) purpose-built for cable fixing, giving electricians a faster, more consistent alternative to hand-stapling on site.
